Kuala Muda District - Vector Unit We were there inside the seminar room of Dewan Kekwa the next day before 8.30am. Today KPPKP TnHjBakri discuss about the most common vector-borne disease in Kuala Muda, which is dengue,malaria followed by filariasis. The incidence, fatality rate of dengue and distribution by age group is discussed and is shown by the following table. The objective of this unit is to controland prevent the spread of the vector-borne disease so that can reduce the cases of the disease especially dengue{which ishighest of Kedah state} Besides, he also discuss about the life cycle of dengue, and symptoms of dengue in detail: Then he show us the book of destruction of disease-bearing insects act and regulations: This book provides the information of the act to destruction and prevention of disease-bearing insects. It also contains the general penalty (fine and imprisonment) and control of the spread of infectious disease.
